You're right though. I shouldn't have mentioned the two bands and the venue that I am a part of in the list I wrote. That's not to say that I don't enjoy what I do(because why in the world would I do it if I disliked it?), but I guess it does make me look pretty full of myself, which I am at times. I don't like being this way, and i'm trying not to be.....but it just happens. I apologize for being so arrogant and wanting of attention 5:44 PM, 6:03 PM, and kidko. I hope you can forgive me.

I really AM proud of living in D/FW/Denton right now though and I wouldn't take ONE name off of that list I wrote except for the names of my bands and venue. This scene is as close to how it was to me back in the mid 90's as it has ever been. A time when The Argo was around. A time when there were great house venues like The Wannabe Manor, The Bonnie Brae House, The 4-D House, and Hell's Lobby(I never got to go there, but i've heard it was a great place to go). A time when they used to have punk shows at The Kharma Cafe. I'm really happy to live in a place so full of culture and to be around kids who are trying real hard to express themselves. I feel really blessed to be here.

I even mentioned bands that I not only don't like musically, but bands that I haven't gotten along with on a personal level, because I don't want to hate anyone anymore and I don't want others to hate each other anymore. Plus I know that though I may dislike many bands, there are hundreds of others who would most certainly beg to differ. I also really want to unite all of the bands around here, because I see so much trash talking and hatred(especially from myself, okay?)

I still think that The Denton/Dallas/Ft. Worth music scene is a force to be reckoned with, no matter if you dislike some of the bands or not. And I think it's good to be proud of where you're from. Again, I apologize for being so conceited. I hope everyone can get along more on here. I say this a lot, but if we don't have each other then what do we really have?

No. Not Farah. Keep trying though. I will say that although I am not way into what Farah is doing, I do think that you guys might want to ease up on her just a tad. She is a human being with feelings and I think that you don't have to embrace her music, but you can try to accept her as one of our brothers and sisters. I just think that's the way it should be.

No, 9:06 AM. I am not a member of Cosmic Catnip. I do like them a lot though. For those of you who don't know, Cosmic Catnip is a project of Shane English from The Undoing of David Wright and Chief Death Rage fame. It consists of him and a friend of his, and they make dance music which to me is an at times comical and EXTREMELY danceable cross between ESG and (good)Ministry if they were of a lot of happy pills. They have a great track on myspace called "You're Harshing My Mellow" which has a funny, slow motion sample of Pauly Shore's character from the mid 90's film Encino Man.

I would tell you who I am, 9:06 AM, but now this is fun for me. I will say that I am in one of the bands on the list I wrote. I feel no shame in this as I am proud to be a part of this music scene and figure I get name dropped enough/asked to play some fun shows enough around here to be able to consider myself a part of this fine group of hard working/creative individuals. Please keep guessing though.
