1. X, Rollins Band, Riverboat Gamblers (Gypsy Tea Room)

$23 isn't exactly a very "punk" ticket price but that's okay. I would actually pay that much to see X alone. I've seen Rollins before and he does put on a really entertaining show even if I can't really get behind some of his Nineties albums. He's touring with his original lineup so that should probably help. I'm sure you've heard of the Riverboat Gamblers, who have the coveted job of opening tonight. They're a punk band from Denton and they're well known for their high energy live show.

2. The Lost Generation with DJ Mwanza (The Cavern)

all the upstairs bartenders kick ass... i just think (not that i know her name...) Sally is a motherfucker b/c she'll snag a buck off some random kids for a damn water.

i only state that she should be a culprit in this "identity theft" stuff b/c the rest of the staff has never overcharged me, or tried to take advantage of the fact that perhaps they hadn't seen me hanging around yet.

the buck for water thing plus the fact that i've spent 10 minutes waiting in a bar that has 8 people in it to get a drink b/c of her.... she just sits there gabbing away w/ someone else, gives you passing "ugh whatever" glances, and if you stick around through her conversation, she might pour you a drink.

I don't get free drinks. I get half off my first 5 drinks. And the bartenders I have worked with have been really nice folks. I do not speak for those I have not worked with since I don't really know them. I am not gonna slam people I don't really know when they have done nothing to me. Cavenr has the absolute, hands down worst bar staff of any bar in Dallas. They are rude, dishonest and they smell too.. randomly.. It is a complete mystery to me why that place ever has does any business. I wish Spune would take its shows to DWide or something...
