yeah, i have to agree that unless something sounds like pet sounds, sgt. peppers, elephant 6 or anything else quirky in a completely harmless way, good records doesn't seem too interested in it.
safe, happy and brightly colored seems to reign supreme overe there. |

yeah... i love the way good records gets all obsessed w/ certain albums, and then FULLY neglects others. i mean, obviously it's run by people and people always have their own taste... but it's almost like they are trying to tell me that "indie" means "people who love brian wilson and the beatles"
...clearly that's a HUGE chunk of bands, and plenty of them are real good, but i've yet to meet anyone w/ what appears to be a fleeting interest in darker, more agressive sounds.
everything there is all cartooney and sunshiney and... well.... somehow similar to the polyphonic spree. |

hmm, maybe they is some beachwood sparks in there -- i must have them confused with something along the lines of apples in stereo or starlight mints -- i couldve sworn they were really annoying -- sorry for the flood ;) |

not that bogdan is homeless or neurotic |

"blue dissolve" is sure purdy -- im glad it doesnt sound like the beachwood sparks
the synth swells remind me of a bogdan racyznski record (myloveilove -- a rather genius piece of folk art, in the neurotic homeless guy sense) |

...or if you're lazy, it's one of the dudes from Beachwood Sparks hooking up with some beat-producing types. the guys at Good are crazy about the record and forced me at knifepoint to buy it. it's all Notwist-y. |
