Night Game Cult | Oveo | Christian! Teenage Runaways | The Chimeneas (Rubber Gloves)
I've had quite a time trying to figure out the final lineup for this show. It's listed several different ways in several different places. The bottom line is that Night Game Cult, Oveo, and Christian! Teenage Runaways are definitely playing and any one of these acts would make this show worth your time. Since they're all playing together you can't afford not to go. Witness the stark gothic minimalism of The Night Game Cult, the boundless throbbing experimentation of Oveo, and the high concept brattiness of the incomparably entertaining C!TR. It's almost as if Stonedranger and I booked this show and you know that means it's good since you agree with every word out of our anonymous mouths. By the way, if the Chimeneas are in fact playing you might as well consider this some sort of festival. Better than Bonnaroo and shit.

not that goth music can't be positive, it's just that i've never seen a positive goth band.

Props to hotel, hotel's pd wilder (international drone traveler) for driving up from Austin and back just for this one Oveo performance ... he was the dude on the left side and does what he does so very well. You're gonna be hearing more soon about the 3-inch series he's putting out on his lo-bango label .... the Oveo release was one of the first.

I love you too Heather! We still need to work on that Annie track. I've got a couple of ideas I think will work well. Have you ever seen A Christmas Story? Well it has the old Little Orphan Annie intro song from the 40's in it and I think we should try to sample it somehow. "La-la-la-leeeeee....it's little orphan aaahhh-nieeeeeee!!!"

I gotta' goooooo.....bathroom.

The Night Game Cult: awesome as usual, a ceremony of friendship and demon slaying.

Christian! Teenage Runaways: ENTERTAINING is a poor adjective. THIS WAS AWESOME. especially the rap/monologue about pussies.

Thank you We Shot Jr for advertising this show, because I hadn't any time to make flyers and advertising on myspace can only go so far. Today is Julie from Christian Teenage Runaway's birthday, so come on out and wish her a happy birthday!

Dear 4:32 PM

I have had several nosebleeds lately.

Earlier today while eating a fresh and just split Kiwi some of the blood that was still apparently in the back of my throat infused itself with the pallor of the fruit.

The taste was wonderful and I could not help but silently laugh as I indulged myself in the kiwi and watched the computer screen blink today’s news of violence and I watched the TV simultaneously flash images of today’s violence and I felt rather numbingly sublime as the pluck of the digitally digitized fucked-up-ness consumed me and my taste palette.

The whole affair was magically tart.

Tart: –adjective, -er, -est.

1. sharp to the taste; sour or acid

2. sharp in character, spirit or expression; cutting; caustic

Your comment was not tart. It was more paltry.

Paltry: –adjective, -tri·er, -tri·est.

1. ridiculously or insultingly small: a paltry sum.

2. utterly worthless.

3. mean or contemptible

shit, he said he'd go if he knew they were playing so I said, they are.

no harm in a little white lie if it makes a poor kid drive 5-40 miles for a good show anyways, right?

taken care of, resolved, telephones were used, words were spoken.

I think the final conclusion is that the chimeneas ARE NOT playing.

but if joshaa and I are both wrong, then we are all in for a SUPER PLEASANT surprise.

I sometimes wonder where the mothers of these anon trolls were during their formative years.

"if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all"

please, its very good advice.

something nice: I hope you have are having a wonderful day, and that you can reconcile whatever deep pain you have.

the chimeneas have not confirmed as far as I know.

I mentioned them to the promoter a couple of weeks ago as a possibility after farah's initial drop from the bill, but never received a confirm, there was a misunderstanding, and they were listed on the bill.

Anonymous says..10:22 PM

I wish I knew if The Chimeneas were playing or not!
I will come if they are.
