Actually Chris Plavidal from Stumptone was in MK Ultra(originally Known as LID). They were the first band of the old Space Rock scene. They were followed by Gogglejazz which became Comet. Light Bright Highway had already existed for 7 years before they moved to Denton from Lubbock. Thorazine Dreams and OHM popped up around the same time, but even those groups had been active in FT. Worth are before they started playing Denton on a regular basis.

If you want to see real inventors of "Space Rock" come out to The Fallout Lounge to see The CAN FREE CONCERT 1972 film at 10pm. It will blow you away. Cheers!!!!
