Glad to see the Decemberists on there, though I fear their popularity may lesson the effect of their next record, just seems to be how it goes! Matt |

Yeah, well I have only been in Dallas for a little over a year, and didn't hear of midlake until mid summer.
I once posted about how it never seems like shows sell out around here, compared to chicago, where ticketed events tend to sell out in seconds. Then the next week I couldn't get into a sold out show. So I just buy tickets when they go onsale if I want to see a band. I bought tickets to see Jeff Tweedy the same day, and that already sold out.
Speaking of tickets... Grizzly Bear tix are available via Front Gate. |

the new joanna hasn't been out very long. the midlake had most of the year to rack up numbers. bamnan was so much better anyway. belle & s. is some tired old stuff these days. their new one was embarassing. |

yeah, I guess the crybabies that complain about people not supporting the local scene, bro, won't have much to say about this list... lots of local bands appear on it, including one at the top spot. |
