i echo jon's general sentiment here. ad astra per aspera were very good last night.

ad astra per aspera was awesome last night. I haven't been this excited about anything in the past year.

Will this be known as the "Space Rock vs. Roots Rock Redux"? Seems like it's been about ten years.

I've talked to Wanz, and we've agreed to settle our score once and for all:
a $50.00 a head cage-match UFC-style battle to the end ("end" meaning that one of us will have to die). 3 5 minute rounds. Winner gets to shove their musical taste down the audience's throat for the following 4 hours, in which you will be forced to don headphones and sit quietly, should you chose to attend this grudge match.

Of course, all money raised will go to a local orphanage, as both Wanz and myself are charitable people. We learned this through years and years of giving selflessly, never taking...

I just found out that Roy Ivy of the Tah-Dah's just had his house broken into tonight and had ALL of he and his wife's (Laura) gear taken. four guitars, a shitload of records and cd's, and more. Unfortunately, he didn't write down any of the serial numbers so there's no way to track the stuff.

ad astra per aspera is worth checking out. Definately worthy of an it list mention. I think they toured with Sonic Youth earlier this year.
